Lang Pioneer Village: Lang Pioneer Village Museum brings Peterborough County’s history to life through over 30 homes and businesses located in a picturesque village, representing a century of time. Squirrel Creek Conservation Area: Squirrel Creek is situated by the Otonabee River and features amenities such as a beach, boat launch, and a small dock for fishing. In addition to its natural attractions, Squirrel Creek also boasts of two baseball diamonds.

Hope Mill Conservation Area: In 1835 William Lang and his wife Jane (Stewart) Lang constructed a carding and fulling mill on the Indian River, one mile north of Lang village. After the sawmill in Lang burned down in 1873, illiam and his son-in-law Richard Hope added a saw house to their mill.  The wool and carding business was discontinued by 1892 and the Hope family provided much-needed lumbering service to the community until 1966.  Today, the original sawmill and wood-finishing equipment have been fully restored, with a wood-working museum and archival records from the early wool and carding era located on the upper floor of the building.  Visit and witness the heritage equipment in action, cutting and finishing lumber just as our pioneer ancestors did.
