The City of Kawartha Lakes spans over 3,000 square kilometers and boasts a population of around 75,000 residents. Its stunning landscape of lakes, rivers, and forests draws outdoor enthusiasts from far and wide. Among its over 250 lakes, the top lakes are Balsam Lake, the highest point in the Trent-Severn Waterway; Sturgeon Lake, renowned for its exceptional fishing of walleye, bass and muskie; Cameron Lake, which features a beautiful beach and park in Fenelon Falls; Pigeon Lake, near Bobcaygeon, known for its clear waters and great fishing; and Scugog Lake, a popular fishing spot despite its shallow, weedy waters.
One of the city’s most beloved institutions is The Kawartha Dairy Company, which has been delighting ice cream enthusiasts for over 80 years. The Tragically Hip immortalized the town of Bobcaygeon in their song of the same name. Additionally, the city is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including beavers, otters, and bald eagles, which can be spotted in the surrounding lakes and forests.

The Lindsay Recreation Centre is a popular venue for ice sports and other events. With two NHL-sized rinks for hockey and figure skating, as well as seating for up to 1,800 people you can cheer on your favourite teams and athletes in style! There is also a swimming pool, a fitness centre and an indoor track for some heart pumping exercise!
